Back

Back from the trip. Wednesday busted but we got a HP near Pampa, TX which was nice. Like last year, I had a blast and made tons of new friends. I plan on going back again next year.

Bagged one

Bagged a tornado south of Hill City, Kansas yesterday. Check out the gallery for more pictures.

Target today is the TX panhandles.

Amarillo time

Ended up in Amarillo; more information later.

In Liberal

In Liberal waiting for tomorrow and Tuesday…Tuesday especially.

THE HODOGRAPH FROM BOTH THE UKMET AND GFS MODELS VALID 00Z
WED FOR SOUTHWEST KANSAS EAST OF THE DRYLINE LOOK VERY FAVORABLE
FOR TORNADOES GIVEN THE EXPECTED CAPE.

Heading to southwest Kansas

We’ve abandoned Montana; headed to Liberal, KS.

In Murdo

We’ve arrived in Murdo, South Dakota just now. We’ve got a 10 am wakeup/breakfast/briefing to see what’s on tap for tomorrow.

In Iowa

Currently leeching wireless off a truckstop; we’re at the “world’s largest truck stop” just across the border.

Day 1

Currently in the COD Weather Office waiting for everyone to show up. We’ve got our morning briefing and then we’re on the road for South Dakota.
